5 fast review games for tomorrow’s class

Choose one format, prepare five to ten prompts, and keep the focus on retrieval and explanation. Every game works with any subject.

Game 1

One-minute sprint

Students answer as many short prompts as they can in one minute, then compare one answer with a partner.

Game 2

Pass the question

Teams write one question, pass it to another team, and score the response against the success criteria.

Game 3

Confidence corners

Post four answer choices in the room. Students move to a choice, explain their reasoning, and revise if persuaded.

Game 4

Fix the mistake

Show a deliberately flawed solution. Students identify the first mistake, repair it, and explain why the repair works.

Game 5

Final-four recap

End with four prompts: define it, connect it, apply it, and ask a question about it.
